گزشتہ روز بہاالدین زکریا یونیورسٹی ملتان کے طلبہ کی جانب سے یونیورسٹی مین گیٹ کے سامنے انتظامیہ کے دھمکی آمیز فیس مطالبات اور آن لائن کلاسز کے باعث طلبہ کو تنگ کئےجانے کے خلاف احتجاجی مظاہرہ کیا گیا جس میں طلبہ کی ایک بڑی تعداد نے شرکت کی۔

If I had to look into the system and make an in-depth analysis on what is wrong with it, I could come up with a comprehensive list. However, if I had to pinpoint all of that to just one point, that would be difficult. I have spent the better part of last year thinking about what the one thing that is wrong with the system; is it the sexism or the misogyny? Is it the religious fanaticism or the Punjabi supremacist beliefs? In the end, I’ve come down to just one conclusion; power. It is those who are the in higher hierarchal positions of the structure, who have the power to make decisions, who are the real culprits. We have been taught since we were little that the Earth is always moving. It never slows down or takes a moment to catch its breath. It is an undeniable fact that if the Earth stops spinning, our life as we know it would be over. Maybe this is the reason why we tend to live fast-paced lives. We’re always on the go, one step after the other; we never stop to reflect or check up on ourselves because we are scared of the destruction it would cause. That is also the reason why acute stress is prevalent in all stages of our life. Students from institute of social and cultural studies (University of the Punjab) want to boycott their exams as they are extremely upset and exhausted. Teachers informed them that they will have exams from August 26th and exams will be conducted in department. (They will conduct online exams just in case condition become worse) and now they just dropped a bomb on students and told just 15 days before about the exams that exams will start from 16th July.
