A protest camp calling for the safe recovery of Saeedullah, a student at Quaid-e-Azam University, continues in Quaid -e- Azam University, Islamabad.
Saeedullah, a Bachelor’s student in Defence and Strategic Studies at QAU, was allegedly forcibly disappeared by men in plain clothes on July 8, 2025. His whereabouts remain unknown.
Speaking to The Student’s Herald, his brother Azam said, “We have approached the court for Saeed’s safe recovery. The court ordered the police to register an FIR for the enforced disappearance, yet even after months, the police have not filed one.” He further alleged that the administration of the DSS department and QAU hostel was involved in the abduction, claiming they provided private information to intelligence authorities. Azam added that the family would continue their protest camp until Saeed returns and justice is served.
PSC’s central spokesperson, Sara Ali, told The Student’s Herald that enforced disappearances have become a norm for state authorities targeting Baloch students. “Baloch students who travel from remote areas are routinely monitored, harassed, and disappeared, and are not even produced before any court afterwards,” she said. She urged state authorities to end such inhumane and illegal practices, warning that they will only deepen the alienation of the Baloch nation.
